Preventative Maintenance Programs
Maintaining your golf car or industrial vehicle is essential to preserving its life and insuring constant reliability. Cart Mart’s complete Preventative Maintenance Program is designed to keep your vehicles running longer, by addressing maintenance issues before they get serious and too costly. We schedule your Service Calls in advance, making sure that we are always on time, as needed. Our Service Trucks are stocked with many of the parts needed to repair your vehicle and our trained technicians are able to solve most repair problems on site.
CART MART SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
Under this Maintenance Program here is what you can expect:
- Check battery fluid levels, clean and fill when needed.
- Check that the charger/starter-generator is functioning properly.
- Check motor brushes (Electric Units).
- Check speed controller & lubricate if applicable.
- Check brakes, cables & fluids and change or adjust if necessary.
- Check battery and cable connections and condition.
- Check operation of fuses, light, horn and warning buzzers.
- Check tire and air pressure and tire condition.
- Check and change engine oil (Gas Units).
- Check and change belts (Gas Units).
- Check starter operation (Gas Units).
- Check and change spark plug if necessary (Gas Units).
- Check, clean or replace air and gas filters (Gas Units).
- In most cases, the Routine Service Checks can be completed in less than one hour per vehicle.
- Additional parts (i.e. oil, filters, plugs, etc.) are not included in the service fee however; an estimate for any additional parts or repairs can often be given at the time of service, and performed with your approval.
- Should the vehicle need additional repairs that cannot be fixed on site, we may bring your vehicle(s) back to our shop, estimate the repair cost and contact you for your approval.
RECOMMENDED SERVICE FREQUENCY
Preventive Maintenance should be performed on a regular basis depending on the frequency of use and driving environment. As a guide we recommend the following:
Heavy Use, especially with gas vehicles – each month- 12 times annually.
Normal Use, every other month- 6 times annually.
Light Use, gas or electric vehicles - 2 - 4 times annually.
